Be Part of Something Powerful: AAC’s 2025 Convening Is Headed to Los Angeles
The Arts Administrators of Color Network (AAC) is bringing its beloved Annual Convening to Los Angeles, November 8–9, 2025—marking its first time on the West Coast!
Under the theme Rooted in Care, Rising in Joy, this two-day convening will bring together hundreds of BIPOC artists, cultural workers, and arts administrators for deep connection, creative leadership, and bold reimagination.
Join CONTRA-TIEMPO, a bold activist dance theater company based in Los Angeles, for an embodied session that nourishes our bodies and spirits through movement, joy, and collective care. Rooted in the belief that cultural work is political work, this interactive activation invites participants to move together in community, exploring ancestral technologies of joy, call-and-response dance traditions, and somatic practices that restore and resource us. Whether opting into high-energy group dance or reflective bodywork, the session offers inclusive options for all bodies and states of being—reminding us that our bodies matter, that rest is resistance, and that moving together is a powerful practice of repair and resilience.
Expect this and more including workshops, site visits, affinity spaces, and joyful celebrations across iconic LA venues. This is one of our most affirming, community-rooted spaces in the field, intentionally designed by and for BIPOC leaders in the arts.
🎟️ Registration offered at multiple tiers for accessibility.
