Roots of Loving Us | March 16–19, 2026

CONTRA-TIEMPO, in collaboration with Responsive Body, will be in residence at Shenandoah University from March 16–19, 2026. During this multi-day residency in Winchester, VA, the artists will work closely with Music Therapy students to further develop Roots of Loving Us, a contemporary dance and music project exploring somatic healing, ancestral memory, and collective liberation.

This creative residency includes rehearsals, workshops, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community dialogue centered on embodied practice, rhythm, and restorative movement.

Sabor Session: Community Get Down

An open community dance event in Winchester, Virginia. This participatory movement session invites dancers, students, artists, and community members of all levels to gather in rhythm and connection. No prior dance experience required.

Public Sharing: Roots of Loving Us (Work-in-Progress)
